World Ocean Day

On 8 June 2025, United Nations World Oceans Day will be celebrated in Nice, France, just before the 2025 UN Ocean Conference (9–13 June 2025). This special timing of two major UN ocean events offers a great chance to increase awareness and encourage joint efforts to protect the ocean.

Costa Rica, France and other international organizations are working together in Geneva, Switzerland prepare the UNOC3 Conference.

The theme of the Conference is “Accelerating action and mobilizing all actors to conserve and sustainably use the ocean”.
